All drains in Lincolnshire are cleansed on a risk-based frequency.

We use the silt levels from previous inspections alongside other information like if we have received reports of flooding in that area to determine how often the drains will be cleansed.

We also have some drains that can only be cleaned with traffic management due to traffic speed and other factors and others that can only be accessed by a hand cleaning crew.

This means that in a Parish we could have 5 drainage routes. A traffic management route, a hand cleaning route,  a bi-annual route, an annual route, and a biennial route.

Our supply chain programme these routes to get the best value out of the gully tankers we have available.

At this point we don't have a published programme but the information I have about Woodhall Spa is that drains cleansed every 6 months were cleansed in September and will be cleansed again in March 2026.

Those on an annual programme are due to be cleansed in March 2026 as are those that are cleansed every 2 years.

Drains requiring traffic management are due to be cleansed between November and February.
